Thirdfort is a client due diligence platform that handles identity verification, anti-money laundering (AML) checks, and source-of-funds checks for regulated firms. It runs as a web and mobile app: a client confirms their identity and source of funds from their phone using biometric verification and Open Banking, and the firm receives the result. The bulk of its use is in UK conveyancing and property transactions, where law firms and estate agents are legally required to run these checks before acting for a client.
