How This Works

Platform scoring

Each platform's score is a power-law weighted composite of four signals: deep integration count (40%), total vendor connections (35%), indexed vendor coverage (15%), and branded integration search volume (10%). The power-law exponent (k≈0.477) means 10× more integrations yields ~3× more score — diminishing returns prevent any single mega-platform from dominating the ranking.

Integration depth

Every integration is classified into one of three depth levels:

Deep
Native API-level integration with bidirectional data sync, embedded UI components, or real-time event hooks. The vendor has built and maintains a dedicated connector.
Medium
One-way data sync, file import/export, or webhook-triggered actions. Works, but data doesn't flow both ways automatically.
Shallow
Zapier/Make-only, manual CSV export, or basic link/embed. Requires middleware or manual steps to move data between systems.

Verification status

Integration claims are classified by how they were confirmed:

Verified
Confirmed via vendor's public integration directory, partner marketplace listing, or independent documentation. 586 vendors have a published integrations page we cross-reference.
Vendor-claimed
Appears in vendor marketing or product pages but not confirmed via a structured integration directory.
Unverified
Mentioned in third-party sources but not yet independently confirmed.

Data sources

Integration data is extracted from vendor integration directories (586 vendors have published marketplace pages), partner listings, crawled product documentation, and structured frontmatter across 4,482 unique platform connections. Only deep and verified integrations contribute to the rlegaltech500 scoring bonus.
