Sinequa By Chapsvision
What it is
What It Does
Sinequa is an enterprise search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) platform that indexes content across a large set of business systems — document management, email, cloud storage, CRMs and databases — and makes it searchable with AI. It is a general-purpose enterprise search product used across sectors, with legal and professional-services document discovery as one application. It maintains a wide library of connectors (iManage Work, NetDocuments, SharePoint, Documentum, OpenText and many more).
What We Found
Sinequa is a Paris-based company that was acquired by French data-processing firm ChapsVision in November 2024, alongside a reported $90M (around €85M) funding round. ChapsVision said it would fold Sinequa’s technology into its ArgonOS data platform. Sinequa has been recognised by Gartner and Forrester in cognitive/enterprise search, and lists clients including Pfizer, Airbus and NASA — these are vendor-stated and skew toward pharma, aerospace and finance rather than pure legal.
