What It Does

SimpleLegal is an enterprise legal management product for in-house legal teams, combining e-billing, legal spend management, matter management, vendor management and reporting. It is part of Onit, which acquired SimpleLegal in 2019. Onit positions it as a mid-market ELM platform — matter management, e-billing and spend visibility without a full enterprise rollout.

What We Found

SimpleLegal is now sold under Onit’s ELM line. It centralises invoices, accruals and vendor data to give corporate legal departments visibility into outside-counsel spend, and enforces billing policies. The product has reviews on G2 and Gartner Peer Insights. Pricing is custom, scaling with legal team size, invoice volume and modules.
