Signrequest
What it is
What It Does
SignRequest is an electronic signature tool for sending, signing and managing documents online. It was founded in Amsterdam in 2014 and built integrations with Salesforce, Google Drive, Gmail, Slack, Box, Dropbox and Zapier. In February 2021, Box acquired SignRequest for a reported $55 million and used its technology as the foundation for Box Sign, the e-signature capability built into the Box content platform.
What We Found
The SignRequest brand still operates its own site and integrations, but the company is now part of Box (NYSE: BOX). The acquisition was widely covered (TechCrunch, VentureBeat) and positioned against DocuSign and Dropbox’s earlier HelloSign purchase. For e-signature workflows inside Box, the same engine surfaces as Box Sign.
