What It Does

InfoNgen is a text-analytics, sentiment-analysis, and semantic-search platform. It monitors a large set of online sources — including local papers, foreign-language media, blogs, and legal and regulatory sites — and surfaces relevant items from them. For legal users the applicable case is regulatory and news monitoring: tracking changes in law, regulation, or company-specific developments across many sources. It is a general business-intelligence tool, not a legal-specific product.

What We Found

InfoNgen was founded in 2004 by co-founders of Multex.com and is based in New York. It was acquired by EPAM Systems and now operates as part of EPAM’s offering. Its LinkedIn presence is a showcase page (infongen) rather than a standalone company page, consistent with its status under a parent.

Who It’s For

Most relevant to in-house legal/compliance and risk teams that need to monitor regulatory and news sources at volume, and to legal-ops or knowledge-management functions in larger organisations. It sits in the research/analysis and reporting stages. Solo and small-firm practitioners are unlikely to need a source-monitoring platform of this scope.
