3E MatterSphere is a matter and case management product sold under Thomson Reuters’ Elite line. It handles document management (with version control and check-in/check-out locking), matter workflows, and work-type templates, and connects natively to the 3E financial and billing system. Pricing is quote-based — there is no published price.

What We Found

MatterSphere sits inside the Elite suite alongside 3E, ProLaw and eBillingHub. Thomson Reuters announced an agreement for private-equity firm TPG to take a majority stake in Elite; the suite is reported to keep its existing Thomson Reuters integrations through that transition. It is most often pitched at UK and international firms that already run 3E for finance.
