Universal Contract Manager

What it is

What It Does

Universal Contract Manager (UCM) is a cloud-based contract management product from iContracts. It stores contracts and supporting documents in a central repository and manages the contract lifecycle from request through to archiving, with configurable approval workflows, global search, and audit tracking. An automated rules engine sends alerts on milestones, expirations, auto-renewals and cancellation terms.

It is marketed to a broad set of buyers — small and mid-size businesses, enterprises, nonprofits and government agencies — rather than to law firms specifically. The product integrates with Adobe Acrobat Sign for e-signature.

What We Found

Universal Contract Manager is part of iContracts, which has been folded into RLDatix Life Sciences; vendor profiles for the product now appear under the RLDatix Life Sciences name on several review directories (Software Advice, Capterra). It is listed on GetApp, SourceForge, Slashdot and Cuspera as a contract lifecycle management tool. We did not find independent practitioner reviews specific to legal teams.

What We Haven’t Verified

  • Pricing — not published; vendors require a demo.
  • Headcount, headquarters and founding details for the product line under RLDatix Life Sciences.
  • Whether it is used by law firms versus general corporate contract teams.
