What It Does

Lawyer Wangu is a Kenyan do-it-yourself online platform for generating legal documents. Users select a template, customise it and download or print the result. Document types cover personal use, business (registration, directorship, shareholding, service contracts, resolutions), IP and real estate, all built around Kenyan law. It sits at the document drafting / automation stage of the workflow and targets individuals and small businesses rather than law firms.

What We Found

Information comes from the vendor’s site, its LinkedIn page and a Tracxn company profile. Tracxn lists the company as founded in 2018, Nairobi-based, unfunded, and with around 2 employees as of mid-2024 — and flags it as possibly no longer active. We found no review-site ratings or community discussion.

What We Haven’t Verified

• Whether the platform is still actively operated — one source flags it as possibly inactive.
• Document quality and legal coverage — vendor claims, not tested.
• Headcount: the LinkedIn page displays a “201-500” band that is inconsistent with the ~2-employee figure reported elsewhere for an unfunded startup; we have removed the headcount field rather than publish an unverified number.
• Pricing — not confirmed.
