What it is
What It Does
MatterAlert is a web-based matter docketing, calendaring, and tickler system for law firms. It is built by PaayaTech, a Toronto-based software firm. The product calculates court rule-based deadlines, tracks dockets, and centralises matter-related dates and tasks in one place.
What We Found
MatterAlert was publicly introduced in January 2022 (covered by LawSites). It integrates with CalendarRules for rules-based calendaring covering US states and Canadian provinces, pulls docket updates from PACER and UniCourt, and connects to accounting systems including Thomson Reuters 3E and Aderant, plus Office 365 and Exchange. PaayaTech states a typical implementation runs 4-6 weeks including data conversion and training. It is listed on Capterra, Software Advice, and Legaltech Hub.
What We Haven’t Verified
- Pricing — not published; demo/quote required.
- Review counts and user ratings — listings exist but we haven’t confirmed a meaningful volume of reviews.
- The 4-6 week implementation figure is the vendor’s own.
