What it is

What It Does

eCourt is a browser-based case management system for courts, built on Journal Technologies’ eSeries framework. It handles case and document management, calendaring, workflow automation, and analytics, and lets court staff process cases from the bench and maintain a central digital case repository. Public-facing modules (a public portal, eFiling, and ePayIt) let litigants and legal professionals view case information, submit documents, make payments, and reserve calendar slots online. It is used by appellate, superior, municipal, traffic, probate, and drug courts.

Journal Technologies is the product of a merger of three justice-software companies — New Dawn Technologies, ISD Corporation, and Sustain Technologies — and is a subsidiary of Daily Journal Corporation (NASDAQ: DJCO).
