What It Does

Gateway is a product of Truth Systems, a governance and compliance startup. It provides content-aware guardrails for AI outputs, with a focus on legal applications. The platform offers APIs that work with any large language model, plus on-premises deployment, and is built to detect AI hallucinations, validate summaries, and check that generated content is grounded in source material.

What We Found

Gateway is one of two products from Truth Systems; the other, Charter, reads a firm’s internal policies and client engagement letters and converts them into enforceable guardrails that can block non-compliant prompts. Law.com and Artificial Lawyer reported that Truth Systems raised a $4M seed round in October 2025, following an earlier $1M tied to the Charter launch. The company targets law firms concerned about controlling AI misuse.
