What It Does

ESILAW is a legal practice management and accounting platform for Canadian law firms. It covers client and matter records, time and disbursement tracking, billing, receivables, trust and general accounting, payment processing, conflict searching, shared calendaring, and financial reporting. A cloud version, esiLaw 360, is built around Canadian provincial law-society compliance requirements. The product has been rebranded as Unity Accounting.

What We Found

ESILAW is developed in Canada by ESI Software and is reviewed on sites including TrustRadius and Canadian Lawyer. Its accounting and trust features are built to Canadian law-society standards, with Canada-based support. The vendor states it is used by thousands of Canadian firms. The product is transitioning to the Unity Accounting brand.

What We Removed

The previous LinkedIn handle on this record (esi-attorneys, a South African law firm) and its associated employee-range figure did not match this Canadian practice-management product. Both have been removed pending a verified handle for ESI Software / Unity Accounting.
