What It Does

Equinox Law Firm is an intellectual-property management system for private practice, part of Questel’s Equinox IPMS suite. It is aimed at small- to medium-sized IP law firms and covers case and document management, client communications, fee and billing management, deadline tracking, process automation, and reporting. A larger tier, Equinox Law Firm+, targets enterprise-size and multi-disciplinary firms managing IP portfolios in volume.

What We Found

The Equinox IP management system was launched in 2006 by a UK-based company of the same name. Questel acquired a majority stake in December 2022 and now markets the full Equinox suite (Law Firm, Law Firm+, Corporate, Corporate+, Invention). In March 2025 Questel announced AI functionality across the line. The product integrates with the EPO Mailbox, exposes an Equinox API, and connects to Zapier per the vendor’s integrations page.
