What It Does

BusyLamp is an enterprise legal-management platform for corporate legal departments, focused on legal spend and outside-counsel management. It handles e-billing, matter management, budgeting and accruals, spend forecasting, and structured RFP/tender and vendor-performance tracking, with reporting and analytics on top. It was built with European requirements in mind — VAT handling, GDPR, and regional tax rules. It sits in the legal-operations and billing/reporting stages of in-house legal work. BusyLamp is part of Onit, which acquired it in 2021.

What We Found

Onit acquired the German company BusyLamp in September 2021, combining it with its existing SimpleLegal business; coverage at the time noted more than 600 implementations across Onit and its subsidiaries. BusyLamp continues to operate as an Onit brand and lists features including a LEDES-compliant invoice converter. It is profiled on review sites such as Software Advice. We have not reviewed pricing or independent user ratings in detail.
